August Course Report

August has provided a mix of sunshine and showers, which has been a welcome relief after July’s dry spell. Growth across the course has picked up, and presentation levels are high as we head into late summer.

  • Greens: Consistent moisture and continued light top-dressing have kept them smooth and true. We’ve also carried out a light aeration programme to prepare for increased autumn play.

  • Fairways: Recovery from July’s heat stress is well underway, with improved colour and coverage. A liquid feed has been applied to support this.

  • Bunkers: Routine raking and edging continue, with some drainage work planned for wetter bunkers before autumn.

  • General: Tree lines and pathways have been tidied, and course furniture repainted to keep everything looking sharp for visitors.

The course is in excellent condition heading into September competitions, and we thank members for their continued support with course care.
