July Course Report
August 20, 2025

July has brought the first real test of summer, with hot, dry spells putting pressure on the course. Our focus has been on keeping playing surfaces healthy and consistent despite the weather.
-
Greens: Hand-watering has been essential during the hottest periods. Light aeration and a wetting agent have been applied to help with water penetration and root development. Speeds remain good, though we’re careful not to stress the grass during the heat.
-
Fairways: Growth has slowed in drier areas, but we’re doing what we can to maintain coverage. Divot repairs are ongoing and members’ help here is much appreciated.
-
Tees & Approaches: Regular mowing and divot filling have kept these in strong condition.
-
Rough: Longer rough is now in full summer growth, creating a strong challenge. We’ll be thinning some areas to maintain playability.
Overall, the course has stood up well, and with a little rain, we’ll see it bounce back quickly.
